Live Spanner Crabs will be available from around 2pm and cooked from 3.30pm, please check as vessel could return earlier. The Co-op commenced the annual closure for inshore prawn trawling on the 20th September, this will conclude on the 1st November. The Spanner Crabs Fishery will still operate during this time and some of our Trawler Operators may travel to the deeper water, we will continue to update each evening. When visiting the Co-op please remember to check in using the QR App.

Established in 1970, the Gold Coast Fishermen's Co-Operative was one of the first developments on the Spit at Main Beach.

For decades trawlers caught and sold their local catch to providers in the seafood industry. In 2005, the Co-Operative sought approval from the Gold Coast City Council Health and began selling their catch direct to the public from the boat at the best possible price.
