Established in 1970, the Gold Coast Fishermen's Co-Operative was one of the first developments on the Spit at Main Beach.

The fishing fleet consists of Prawn Trawlers, Tuna Long Liners and a Spanner Crab vessel, which all operate in the pristine waters off the Gold Coast. These vessels return to port most days loaded with the freshest seafood available for sale direct from the boat, often by the person who caught it.

Our complex consists of floating pontoons which enable buyers to access the vessels direct to purchase fresh seafood, at extremely affordable prices.

We have been successfully operating this retail venture since 2006 which has enabled us to provide our customers the 'freshest catch' possible.

All product sold is caught directly by the vessels and we have been able to offer this at less than retail price. We are open from 7am until sold out, making mornings a preferred time to visit us.

The members of the Gold Coast Fishermen's Co-Operative are working to promote our establishment as a tourist destination and are current members of the Gold Coast Tourism Bureau and are located on the South East Queensland Food and Wine Trail map.

We welcome locals and tourists alike and are keen to share knowledge of our fishing operations and seafood with you. Come on down and have a chat and enjoy the freshest seafood we have to offer.
